Wear and tear of the cartilage covering the articular surfaces of the joints is one of the most common causes of limited mobility in horses and ponies. It often occurs in older horses, but can also occur during lighter work and in horses with a strenuous training and competition program.

Cartilage has no blood supply of its own and relies on the underlying bone and the synovial or joint fluid that bathes the joint to provide nutrients and key compounds to maintain its health and shock-absorbing properties.

As the horse ages or the daily impact of training and competition increases, the ability of the underlying bone and synovial fluid to provide these nutrients may not be sufficient to maintain health, resulting in stiffness and reduced mobility. It then becomes important that the horse receives a nutritional supply of these essential nutrients to ensure that cartilage and synovial fluid retain their elasticity and shock absorbing properties to support joint health, comfort and mobility.

Dosage:
For 500 kg horse: for the first 10 days, 30 g per day. Thereafter, reduce to 15 g per day to maintain the desired effect
