Hill's Prescription Diet Derm Defense Canine helps your dog against environmental allergies. Such allergies account for more than fifty percent of allergy cases in dogs! Because allergic reactions often manifest themselves on the skin, this food also contains ingredients that make the skin more resistant. Derm Defense helps against:

Secondary plant substances against your dog's environmental allergies
Hill's Derm Defense contains a unique HistaGuard complex that keeps the immune response to environmental allergens in check. It interrupts the allergic response, reducing environmental allergies and helping to create a barrier against future allergy flare-ups.
The HistaGuard complex is a combination of phytochemicals. The natural polyphenol sources it contains better regulate the immune response of your dog's body. This food therefore has a long-term effect on your dog's immune health.
Hill's Derm Defense for your dog's healthy skin and shiny coat
Derm Defense helps relieve skin and coat symptoms and nourish and condition both for better protection. It promotes skin health with vitamin A, zinc and essential fatty acids.
The daily amounts given are only a starting point. The amount of food should be adjusted accordingly to maintain the optimum body weight.
The animal should be gradually introduced to the new food over a period of 7 days or more.
