Many small dog breeds were originally bred for hunting, for which they needed a lot of stamina: Jack Russell Terriers, Dachshunds and Cocker Spaniels belong to the rummaging dogs. The joy of movement is actually in their blood, but of course their owners have to make room for it.
As these dog breeds fit well into a city apartment in terms of size, but their owners are not usually hunters, they like to put on weight. This food is designed to help your small dog become and stay slim, even if it doesn't go hunting every day.
Dry food with chicken and turkey for your Cocker Spaniel's diet
The dry food is pelleted extra small so that small dog breeds can eat it easily. It is low in calories but satisfies well. With protein from chicken and turkey and three different fats, it gives your dog a great taste experience despite its diet.
Variety during your dachshund's weight loss diet - with Metabolic from Hill's
You can combine this dry food with Canine Metabolic Weight Management, a wet food with pork and chicken, also from Hill's Prescription Diet range. This gives your little dog more variety in his diet.
The daily amounts given are only a starting point. The amount of food should be adjusted accordingly to maintain the optimum body weight.
The animal should be gradually introduced to the new food over a period of 7 days or more.
