NutriLabs Velocan

NutriLabs Velocan® is a supplementary feed to support the metabolism of dogs with particularly stressed joints.

The product was developed specifically for dogs that are exposed to above-average stress or have age-related signs of joint wear. The product contains GAGs in a form that can be optimally utilized by dogs to support the production of physiologically optimally composed synovial fluid and the function of the joint capsule.

Velocan® is a combination of defined plant extracts (ginger, devil's claw & pepper) with high doses of GAGs (glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate, hyaluronic acid) and MSM (organic sulphur source) and supports the natural joint metabolism of dogs.

Recommended use:

To support the metabolism of heavily stressed joints. Maintaining mobility by repairing and preserving cartilage substances and producing healthy synovial fluid can only be achieved by continuously supplementing the diet. Velocan® has been specially formulated for this purpose.

Support of the joints through:

Structural elements
MSM (methysulfonylmethane): organic sulphur compound that is important for the good skeletal function of connective tissue.

Glycosaminoglycans (hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulphate, glucosamine)
Essential building blocks for the formation of synovial fluid and for the regeneration of joint cartilage

Functional plant substances
Ginger: contains DMPB, a starting material for the later development of widely used synthetic preparations for the treatment of osteoarthritis

Pepper
Contains capsaicin, a receptor activator for the production of endorphins

Omega fatty acids
Vegetable oils are rich in omega fatty acids, which have a positive influence on osteoarthritis

Antioxidants
Artichokes: support the regeneration of stressed joints

1 tablet (2.5 g) / 10 kg body weight daily. It is recommended to feed double the amount for the first 4 days. Maintaining mobility by repairing and preserving cartilage substances and producing healthy synovial fluid can only be achieved by continuously supplementing the diet. ® VELOCAN has been specially formulated for this purpose.

Bonjour. Nous avons un bouvier bernois de une année et demie. Il est né avec une dysplasie moyenne avec un peu d'arthrose. Nous lui donnons du Lupo 40 ou alternativement du canosan. Ces produits lui conviennent parfaitement et il ne semble pas souffrir. Sa démarche est un peu hésitante le matin à froid mais ensuite il marche ou courre normalement. Est-ce que ces produits sont adaptés ? Que nous conseillez-vous ? Merci d'avance pour votre prochaine réponse. Meilleures salutations.

Bonjour,
oui, les compléments que vous donnez sont adaptés. Cependant, parmi les trois, Canosan est le moins complet : je recommande plutôt le Lupo 40 ou le Velocan, qui apportent une formulation plus complète. En complément, des capsules d’oméga-3 peuvent être très utiles pour leur effet anti-inflammatoire. Le reste du traitement repose surtout sur la gestion de l’environnement :

  • exercice régulier et adapté,

  • entretien de la musculature (physiothérapie, hydrothérapie),

  • maintien d’un poids de forme avec une alimentation complète et équilibrée.

Gibt es ein Pendant von Velocan für Katzen?

Es gibt kein direktes Pendant zum Nutrilabs Velocan für Katzen. Wir haben jedoch ein grosses Sortiment an Nahrungsergänzungsmittel für Katzen mit Gelenkproblemen. 
Für Katzen hat sich z.B. Synoquin Katze gut bewährt. Es handelt sich dabei um Kapseln, die geöffnet und übers Futter gegeben werden können. Bei sehr heiklen Fressern führt das manchmal dazu, dass das Futter nicht mehr gern gefressen wird. Die Movoflex Soft Chews wären dann eine andere Möglichkeit. Diese Kautabletten können der Katze wie ein Leckerli gegeben werden.
