Purina Veterinary Diets Renal Function dry food for dogs

Purina Veterinary Diets Renal Function provides complete and balanced nutrition for adult dogs. It contains a small amount of phosphorus and high quality protein to support kidney function in chronic Renal insufficiency.

In addition, Canine NF Renal Function contains small amounts of calcium, vitamin D and urinary alkaline properties recommended for animals with urinary stone disease.

When should Canine NF Renal Function be fed?

The indications for use of this dog food include cases of:

  • Renal failure
  • Liver disease associated with encephalopathy
  • Early stages of heart failure
  • Hypertension

Dry food from Purina Veterinary Diets against kidney damage

The Purina Pro Plan recipe is specially adapted to the needs of dogs with chronic Renal insufficiency. The diet food contains a low phosphorus content and therefore helps to prevent kidney damage. Reduced but high-quality protein minimizes the formation of metabolic molecules and the intake of non-essential amino acids.

The low sodium content helps to compensate for diseased kidneys. The mineral minimizes the risk of high blood pressure. Omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Changing the feed to Canine NF Renal Function

Please consult your vet before switching to Canine NF Renal Function. As with any change of diet, it is advisable to change gradually over a period of five to ten days. Feed your dog small amounts of food several times a day in a quiet environment. Have your four-legged friend regularly examined by a vet during the feeding period. If your dog's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately.
