SPECIFIC Weight Reduction CRD-1

The low fat content and high Crude fiber content are responsible for the low energy content. During weight reduction, the pet owner can feed a normal food ration and at the same time be sure that the dog is full.
L-carnitine transports fatty acids to the mitochondria and stimulates the burning of fat and protects the muscles.
The high protein content ensures that the muscles are maintained and satiates the dog during weight loss.
Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) support normal joint function in overweight dogs. Omega-3 fatty acids also support skin and coat health.
Grains with a low glycemic index (whole wheat and oats), increased Crude fiber and chromium content, also reduce postprandial hyperglycemia.
During the weight reduction period, it is recommended to give only 60% of the SPECIFIC™ CRD-1/CRW-1 Weight Reduction feeding recommendation for normal dogs. However, some dogs cannot lose enough weight this way. For these dogs, the feeding amount should be reduced again. Individual daily requirements may vary depending on factors such as breed, environment, time of year and activity levels. It is therefore advisable to monitor the general condition and body weight and adjust the amount of food accordingly.
