HPM Cat Urology U2 Dissolution & Prevention
Complete food for adult cats
The formulation of this special support diet induces the formation of urine that is undersaturated with struvites, to promote the dissolution of existing struvite stones and to prevent the formation of new struvite stones.
In addition, the high amounts of protein and sodium in the formula stimulate the cat's drinking water intake, thereby increasing the volume and frequency of urination.
The addition of an extract of dried artichoke leaves helps to dilute the urine. A urine pH value of between 6.0 and 6.5 prevents the formation of struvite and oxalate crystals. The addition of the phosphorus binder chitosan also helps to reduce the bioavailability of phosphorus and reduce phosphorus excretion via the urine.
This complete food is designed for adult cats with a urinary stone problem and should not be used in growing cats, pregnant and lactating cats, cats with chronic kidney disease (CNE) or heart failure.
