Zenifel Spray offers targeted and fast-acting support for cats in acute stress situations—both at home and on the go. Stressful events can trigger restlessness and stress-related behaviors in cats. Zenifel Spray was specially developed to effectively support your cat during such moments.

The innovative combination of a synthetic feline facial pheromone (F3) and catnip can help convey a sense of familiarity and security. This makes the spray ideal for short-term, situational use. For long-term relaxation in the home environment, Zenifel Spray can be optimally combined with the Zenifel Gel Diffuser.

Directions for Use

Keep the Zenifel Spray within easy reach so you can apply it as needed, e.g., in mobile kennels, on blankets, or in your cat’s favorite spots.

Spray the desired areas and let the spray dry for at least 15 minutes before allowing your cat access.

Instructions for different situations:

Mobile Kennel/Travel
Spray up to 8 sprays onto the inside of the mobile kennel. Repeat every 4 hours as needed.

New Pet or New Environment
Before introducing your cat to the new pet or environment: Spray door frames, corners of large pieces of furniture, and room corners approx. 20 cm above the floor. Repeat this every 6 hours as needed. Repeat the application once daily for up to 2 months.

Urine marking
Remove all traces of urine, then spray the vertical surface 10–20 cm above the floor. Repeat the application every 4 hours as needed with 1–3 sprays.

Scratching behavior
: Spray up to 6 sprays once a day on the scratched area.

Stressful Events
: Spray 24 hours before a planned event. For unexpected events, wait 15 minutes after spraying before allowing the cat into the sprayed area(s). Repeat every 6 hours as needed.

Signs of stress:

• Hiding and withdrawal: The cat retreats to quiet places when stressed.
• Excessive grooming: Excessive licking can lead to bald or sore spots in the coat. 
• Incontinence: The cat relieves itself outside the litter box. 
• Aggression: Aggressive behavior toward people or other animals can be a sign of stress.
• Eating behavior: The cat refuses food or, conversely, eats excessive amounts (compulsive eating).
• Increased vocalization: Increased meowing, hissing, or growling. 
• Destructive behavior: Scratching furniture or other objects. 
• Extreme clinginess: Constant cuddling and demanding attention, sometimes to the point of acting offended when the owner leaves. 
• Gastrointestinal problems: Diarrhea or vomiting.
• Urinary tract problems: Stress can also cause bladder problems.
• Autonomic symptoms: Increased heart and respiratory rates.

Precautions

• Shake well before each use
• Never spray directly onto the animal
• Do not allow the cat into the sprayed area until it is completely dry (approx. 15 minutes)

Ingredients
: F3 content of analogs of feline facial pheromones (11.6%), Nepeta cataria extract (0.5%), ethanol, water (q.s. 87.9%)

• Synthetic pheromones that mimic the calming pheromones released from a cat’s cheeks and chin
• Detectable only by cats
• Odorless to humans

Catnip extract (Nepeta cataria)

• Attracts your cat to the area
• A calming herb for most cats
