Zenifel Spray offers targeted and fast-acting support for cats in acute stress situations - both at home and on the move. Stressful events can trigger restlessness and stress-related behavior in cats. Zenifel Spray has been specially developed to provide your cat with effective support at such times.

The innovative combination of a synthetic feline facial pheromone (F3) and catnip can help to provide a sense of familiarity and security. This makes the spray ideal for short-term, situational use. For long-term relaxation in the home environment, the Zenifel Spray can be optimally combined with the Zenifel Gel Diffuser.

Instructions for use

Keep the Zenifel Spray handy so that you can use it when needed, e.g. in mobile kennels, on blankets or in preferred locations.

Spray the desired areas and allow the spray to dry for at least 15 minutes before giving your cat access.

Instructions for different situations:

Mobile kennel/transport
Spray up to 8 sprays on the inside of the mobile kennel. Repeat every 4 hours if necessary.

New animal or new environment
Before you introduce your cat to the new animal or new environment: Spray door frames, corners of large furniture and room corners approx. 20 cm above the floor. Repeat this every 6 hours if necessary. Repeat the application once a day for up to 2 months.

Urine marking
Remove all traces of urine and then spray the vertical surface 10-20 cm above the floor. Repeat the application every 4 hours with 1-3 sprays if necessary.

Scratching behavior
Spray up to 6 sprays once a day on the scratched area.

Stressful events
Spray 24 hours before a planned event. For unforeseen events, wait 15 minutes after spraying before allowing the cat into the sprayed area(s). Repeat every 6 hours if necessary.

Signs of stress:

• Hiding and retreating: the cat will retreat to quiet places when stressed.
• Excessive grooming: Excessive licking can lead to bald or sore spots in the coat.
• Uncleanliness: The cat does its business outside the litter box.
• Aggressiveness: Aggressive behavior towards people or other animals can be a sign of stress.
• Eating behavior: The cat refuses food or eats a lot instead (binge eating).
• Increased volume: Increased meowing, hissing or growling.
• Destructive behavior: Scratching furniture or other objects.
• Extreme clinginess: Constant cuddling and demanding attention, sometimes to the point of insulting behavior when the human leaves.
• Gastrointestinal problems: Diarrhea or vomiting.
• Urinary problems: Stress can also cause bladder problems.
• Vegetative symptoms: Increased heart and breathing rate.

Precautions

• Shake well before each use
• Never spray directly onto the animal
• Only allow the cat into the sprayed area after it has dried completely (approx. 15 minutes)

F3 portion of feline facial pheromone analogs (11.6 %), Nepeta cataria extract (0.5 %), ethanol, water (q.s. 87.9 %)
