The Biokat's cat litter brand has been awarded the prestigious "German Award for Excellence" sustainability prize in the "Carbon Footprint" category in 2018.

At the award ceremony, the jury stated: "With the Biokat's brand, H. von Gimborn GmbH has positioned itself as a supplier of sustainably produced cat litter. Although the CO2 values of Biokat's production were already classified as exemplary in 2011, H. von Gimborn GmbH has not let up and has further reduced its ecological footprint. To this end, the product carbon footprint was calculated again in 2017, taking into account the entire life cycle of the product. The result: emissions fell by a further 11%."

The right litter for every cat

Biokat's premium litters are available in different grain sizes. Biokat's Classic 3in1 is a highly clumping cat litter and is made up of three different grain sizes. This unique litter combination supports faster odor binding, improves clumping stability and increases the yield. The large grains have particularly large pores and therefore absorb liquids and odors like a sponge. The medium grains form particularly strong clumps, as they are the perfect size to fill the gaps between the large and small grains. The small grains increase the yield because they are distributed throughout the litter and thus support the performance of the medium and large grains.

Biokat's Diamond Care has the best odor absorption thanks to activated charcoal. Thanks to the natural activated charcoal, any odor in your cat's toilet is absorbed quickly and reliably. The activated charcoal is made from coconut shells, a renewable and natural raw material. The inner surface of the extremely porous carbon grains ensures that odors can be firmly bound to the carbon. The high absorbency ensures that urine clumps together, making disposal of the litter particularly easy.
