Equitop Pronutrin

1 x daily 50 g per 100 kg body weight mixed with the crib feed.

For suckling foals, the required amount of Equitop Pronutrin®(25 g - 50 g) is mixed with three times the amount of lukewarm water. After 2 to 3 minutes, the resulting slurry can be administered directly into the foal's mouth using a syringe or plastic bottle.

Horses generally take Equitop Pronutrin®well. However, many animals show a reduced appetite due to the stomach problems. Some also have to get used to the new taste. In these cases, it usually helps to give the feed twice a day and reduce it at the beginning (if feed intake is delayed or poor, the feed can be divided into 2 x 25 g per 100 kg body weight or halved at the beginning to get the horse used to it and increased over 2 to 3 days up to the recommended amount (measuring cup inside) and, if necessary, mixed with the favorite feed or with moist feed, such as wheat bran (possibly with molasses) or mash (linseed, wheat bran, crushed oats).

Feeding duration
Equitop Pronutrin®should be administered over a period of at least 2 weeks. Once the horse's condition has normalized or improved, the diet should nevertheless be continued for a further 2 weeks in order to reduce the risk of relapse. If necessary, continuous or intermittent administration is also possible. The vet must decide on any necessary additional assumptions (e.g. regarding husbandry, training, feeding) or drug therapy.
