Platinum Performance Bio Sponge

Bio-Sponge is a nutritional supplement for horses that supports healthy gastrointestinal function in foals and adult horses.

Bio-Sponge has a large surface area and binds to positively charged ions in the vicinity and removes them from the digestive system. Due to this adsorption effect, Bio-Sponge can help maintain the function and health of the gastrointestinal tract.

Bio-Sponge works very quickly after ingestion. If there is no noticeable improvement within 7 days, it is recommended to stop taking it. If there is an improvement but the intestinal disturbance has not yet disappeared, continue to administer Bio-Sponge until the loose stools have subsided.

Some horses take a maintenance dose of Bio-Sponge as part of their daily diet to maintain digestive health. For most horses, Bio-Sponge is administered until the intestinal disturbance has subsided, but can also be used long term if required.

Indications for use:

Foals:
Avoid intestinal disturbances in newborn foals less than 24 hours old: Administer 4.6-13.8 g, mixed with 10-30 ml water, no earlier than 12 hours after the foal's first suckling. Administer twice daily for 4-5 days or as directed by the veterinarian.

Intestinal disorders: Administer 27.6 g mixed with 30 ml water 2-3 times daily no earlier than 6 hours after the foal's first suckling or as directed by the veterinarian. Discontinue use 1 day after the intestinal disorder has subsided. Discontinue if there is no noticeable improvement after 7 days.

Adult horses (based on a horse weighing approx. 450 kg):
Intestinal disturbance: administer 97.5 g twice daily or as directed by the veterinarian. Discontinue if there is no noticeable improvement after 7 days.
