The days are getting shorter, making it all the more important to ensure that our beloved pets are clearly visible to car and bicycle drivers from a distance.
Reflective Collars for Cats
Especially suitable for cats are reflective Collars that light up brightly when illuminated. It's crucial that these are Collars equipped with a safety clasp that opens automatically under strong tension. As an additional measure, a small self-illuminating blinking light can be attached to the Collar. However, before a cat goes outside with such a pendant, it must be tested whether the light irritates them and causes an anxious reaction. If this is the case, it should be avoided.
Illuminated Vests for Dogs
The easiest way to make your dog clearly visible in the dark is a reflective dog vest. Today, there are even models that also self-illuminate, further increasing visibility. Such a vest must fit the dog well so that their movement is not restricted. It should also be as robust and washable as possible.
The vest is best combined with a reflective leash and possibly an illuminated Collar. Such illuminated Collars should not be too thin, as they can quickly disappear under the neck fur. Additionally, you should ensure that the "lights" can be easily charged or that the batteries are simple to replace and readily available everywhere.
Additionally, or to upgrade existing leashes and Collars, there are also practical blinking and illuminated pendants that can also be attached to bicycles, backpacks, and bags!
Because not only dogs and cats are easily overlooked in the dark! So, also think about your own safety and equip yourself with reflective bands and blinking lights.
We wish you a wonderful late autumn with your four-legged companions.
