So, is grain in dog food fundamentally bad?

No, absolutely not. As adaptable omnivores, healthy dogs can usually digest grain without any problems and use it as an energy source. High-quality grains also provide important dietary fibers, vitamins, and minerals. The sweeping claim that grain in dog food is just a cheap filler is simply untrue.
