ICF Clorexyderm Shampoo 4%

ICF Clorexyderm Shampoo 4% for dogs, cats, rodents, and horses contains chlorhexidine gluconate (40 mg/g), which inhibits bacteria and fungi in susceptible microorganisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus vulgaris, Malassezia pachydermatis, Candida albicans, Microsporum canis, and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. The shampoo concentrate is ideal for use as part of a treatment regimen for specific skin conditions, such as:

• deep pyoderma
• Malassezia colonization (especially in chronic cases accompanied by lichenification)
• mixed microbial infection (Malassezia and bacteria)
• skin prone to dermatophytosis

Directions for Use:

Thoroughly wet the animal’s coat with lukewarm water. Apply the appropriate amount of shampoo concentrate—either undiluted or, if necessary, diluted with water (15–50 ml, depending on the animal’s size)—to the animal and massage it into the coat against the grain. Leave on for 10 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with plenty of lukewarm water and dry the animal. The nourishing and moisturizing ingredients lanolin and glycerin work synergistically to support the skin during use.

• Use is not recommended for people with asthma.
• For external use only.
• Do not use simultaneously with other disinfectants. Do not mix with soaps, anionic surfactants, or bicarbonates.
• If swallowed: Seek medical advice/medical attention.
• In case of contact with eyes: Gently rinse with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses if possible. Continue rinsing.
• Keep container tightly closed. Do not store in direct sunlight or near radiators.
