Protexin Pro-Fibre advanced

Pro-Fibre contains 53% soluble and insoluble gluten-free fibres from high-quality sources. These effectively ensure a voluminous stool, helpful for example in the case of blocked anal glands or chronic colonic diarrhea. Prebiotics and probiotics maintain the natural balance of the microbiome. CitriStim® supports the immune system and strengthens the intestinal barrier.

Soluble dietary fiber:
Pro-Fibre Advanced contains the soluble dietary fibers FiberSol® and psyllium.
FiberSol® - a resistant maltodextrin that bypasses digestion in the small intestine and is fermented in the large intestine, where it acts as a prebiotic and supports the amount of beneficial bacteria (bifidobacteria) while optimizing the Moisture and volume of the feces.

Psyllium husk - a predominantly soluble fiber that has the ability to absorb excess water in the gastrointestinal tract and form a viscous, gel-like substance. It increases the viscosity of the feces, which promotes normal intestinal transit time.

Insoluble fiber
Cellulose (a major structural component of plants) is an important insoluble fiber found in Pro-Fibre Advanced and acts as an effective fecal bulking agent, promoting normal intestinal motility and defecation.

Pectin
Pectin is a soluble fiber that is rapidly fermented in the large intestine. In addition to its effectiveness as a prebiotic, pectin is also known to form a protective film on the intestinal mucosa.

CitriStim®
CitriStim® is an inactivated yeast that contains mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) and beta-glucans.
Both perform specific functions to support the gastrointestinal immune system and to optimize intestinal function and integrity. CitriStim® can help limit the adhesion of certain microorganisms to the intestinal wall and thus promote their elimination.

L-threonine
L-threonine is the amino acid most utilized by enterocytes, which have a high metabolic rate. It is important for the production of mucins, which form the protective mucus layer that lines the intestinal epithelium, ensures the function of the intestinal barrier and supports intestinal immunity.

Probiotics
Calsporin® is a spore-forming bacterium called Bacillus velezensis (DSM 15544) 4b1820 that supports a healthy microbiome, aids in the digestion of nutrients and helps control fecal odor. In addition, B. velezensis has been shown to help maintain intestinal mucosal immunity and normal fecal consistency. The viability of the probiotic after processing and storage and acid stability have also been demonstrated.

Preplex® prebiotics
Preplex® Prebiotics is a combination of fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and gum arabic that supports the growth of beneficial bacteria in different areas of the digestive tract. In the proximal colon, FOS is readily fermented to SCFA by certain beneficial bacteria (Bifidobacterium spp. and Lactobacillus spp.), while gum arabic has a highly branched and complex structure and is therefore fermented more slowly, benefiting the distal colon.
