FortiFlora is a probiotic dietary supplement designed to support intestinal health. It has been developed for both puppies and adult dogs in stressful situations:

Canine FortiFlora has been proven to support the natural immune system in dogs of all ages. FortiFlora is particularly palatable and can even help increase appetite in sick or particularly picky dogs.
Add Canine FortiFlora from the packet to your dog’s regular food
Canine FortiFlora is easy to feed. The box contains thirty one-gram sachets. Simply sprinkle the contents of one sachet over your pet’s regular food (wet or dry food).
If your puppy or dog’s symptoms do not subside within a few days, consult a veterinarian. They will often advise you to feed FortiFlora for at least thirty days. This is the only way to ensure the gut flora stabilizes long-term.

Kann hier nichts Negatives dazu sagen und bis jetzt vertragen es beide Hunde super. Da ich einen kleine und grossen Hund habe, stellt sich für mich die Frage, ob jeder 1 Beutel bekommen sollte, bei dem Kleinen finde ich einen ganzen Beutel etwas viel... steht leider nichts davon auf der Verpackung.

Habe aus Versehen das Canine anstatt Feline gekauft. Es scheint +/- das Gleiche zu sein. Darf ich es den Katzen mit Katzenschnupfen geben?
Your iPet team FortiFlora für Hunde und für Katzen unterscheiden sich primär im Vitamin und Mineralstoffgehalt. So enthält das FortiFlora für Katzen beispielsweise Taurin, dasjenige für Hunde nicht. Beide enthalten jedoch die gleichen Probiotika-Stämme, die hauptsächlich für die Wirkung verantwortlich sind. Obwohl wir generell empfehlen, Hunden das Canine FortiFlora und Katzen das Feline FortiFlora zu geben, schadet es Ihrer Katze nicht, wenn Sie ihr das fälschlicherweise gekauft FortiFlora für Hunde geben.

Der Hauptunterschied zwischen FortiFlora und FortiFlora PLUS liegt in der Zusammensetzung und den Anwendungsbereichen:
FortiFlora:
- Enthält probiotische Kulturen - Bakterien (Enterococcus faecium) zur Förderung einer gesunden Darmflora.
- Wird häufig eingesetzt bei Durchfall, Stress, Antibiotikatherapie oder allgemeinen Verdauungsproblemen.
- Geeignet für eine regelmässige Unterstützung der Darmgesundheit.
FortiFlora PLUS:
- Enthält zusätzlich spezielle Präbiotika (verdauliche pflanzlische Fasern die von den Darmbakterien verwendet werden) und kann bei hartnäckigeren Verdauungsproblemen oder komplexeren Fällen wie chronischem Durchfall oder Darmstörungen eingesetzt werden.

Hilft es auch bei Durchfall ?
Your iPet team Ja, es hilft auch bei Durchfall. Es ist empfehlenswert, Fortiflora ein paar Tage - oder besser Kurweise - zu verabreichen.
Um schnell Hilfe und Besserung bei Durchfall zu erzielen, können Sie Ihrem Hund zusätzlich zB. pro-Enteric geben.
Bei folgenden Punkten empfehlen wir unbedingt, Ihren Tierarzt zu konsultieren:
- wiederkehrender Durchfall
- Durchfall, der länger als 3 Tage andauert
- zusätzlich Erbrechen und/oder Fieber
- starke Bauchschmerzen

Darf ich das einem Hund mit einer Autoimmunmeningoencephalitis geben, weil er noch Cortison bekommt, aber nicht mehr in hoher immunsuppressiver Dosis?
Your iPet team Die Gabe von FortiFlora ist auch bei einer Autoimmunerkrankung unter Cortisontherapie möglich. Probiotika können die Darmflora unterstützen, ohne die medikamentöse Behandlung negativ zu beeinflussen oder mit dem Cortison zu interagieren. Eine Verabreichung ist daher unbedenklich.

Darf ich FortiFlora 1g meinem 12-jährigen "Berger de Picardie" , dauernd verabreichen?
Er hat einen empfindlichen Magen/Darm und reagiert sofort auf Stress mit Erbrechen und Durchfall. Seit ich ihm FortiFlora gebe, hat sich das weitgehend erledigt.
