Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diet Feline NF Renal Function Advanced Care

Clinical dietary food for cats with advanced chronic kidney disease and its complications.

Indications:

  • Support in the later stages (IRIS stages 3 and 4) of chronic Renal insufficiency
  • Temporary Renal insufficiency*
  • Support of cardiac function in chronic heart failure*

* The recommended duration of use is two to four weeks

Contraindications:

  • Growth and pregnancy

Low phosphorus content
To slow the progression of chronic Renal insufficiency and minimize the risk of secondary hyperparathyroidism.

Limited but high quality protein content
To minimize the formation of uremic toxins, which is of clinical benefit in chronic Renal insufficiency.

Omega-3 fatty acids
Help to reduce glomerular hypertension and reduce glomerular inflammation.

The recommended feeding period is initially up to 6 months. It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before use or before extending the feeding period. Offer water for free intake.
1 sachet = 25 g Feline NF Dry.
The mixed feeding recommendations are only valid for mixing Feline NF Renal Function™ Advanced Care Dry and Wet.
For cats heavier than 6 kg: Feed an additional 1/2 sachet per additional kg of body weight every day.

Existe il une version avec indice St/Ox comme pour la mousse de cette gamme afin de pouvoir établir un régime complet pour le chat qui ne comporte pas de risque (comme pour la gamme urinary Purina Pro Plan qui comporte les croquettes, les sachets fraicheurs et les mousses ayant tous le meme index St/Ox)

Le régime Purina Pro Plan NF Renal existe également sous forme de mousse : Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NF Renal Function Advanced Care Mousse

Contrairement à tous les autres régimes vétérinaires Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets, les régimes rénaux n'ont toutefois pas d'indice St/OX. L'indice St/Ox se réfère à la prévention des cristaux de struvite et d'oxalate dans l'urine, pour laquelle un pH urinaire acide est réglé. Les régimes rénaux se concentrent sur le soulagement des reins grâce à une réduction des protéines et du phosphore et visent souvent un pH urinaire neutre à légèrement alcalin afin d'atténuer l'acidose. Les différents objectifs et valeurs de pH expliquent l'absence d'indice. Si le chat présente une prédisposition connue aux cristaux de struvite ou d'oxalate et qu'il doit passer à un régime rénal, il est recommandé de contrôler ensuite régulièrement le pH et les sédiments urinaires.
