ROYAL CANIN® Gastrointestinal Low Fat for a healthy digestion in your dog.

ROYAL CANIN® Gastrointestinal Low Fat is a balanced and nutritious formula specially formulated to promote healthy digestion in dogs with gastrointestinal problems or other conditions that require a low fat diet.

  • Diseases of the pancreas (pancreatitis)
  • Gastric mucosal irritation and inflammation
  • Disorders of the healthy intestinal flora (dysbacteria)
  • increased fat content in the blood plasma (hyperlipidemia)

Low fat content
This recipe is specially tailored to the needs of dogs that require a low-fat diet.

Healthy digestion
This easily digestible formula has been enriched with a balanced mix of insoluble and soluble fibers, including prebiotics, to promote healthy digestion and intestinal transit.

Balanced fiber content
The limited fiber content of this recipe ensures that the dog's energy requirements are covered despite the low fat content.

Important note
This product is a veterinary food from the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range. It is therefore important that the food is only fed on the recommendation of a vet. This will ensure that your pet receives exactly the food it really needs. A change in diet should be made carefully and gradually over a period of 7 to 10 days. Pay attention to the correct portion size - especially with mixed feeding.

Mixed feeding possible
To meet the individual preferences of all dogs, ROYAL CANIN® Gastrointestinal Low Fat is also available as dry food. Mixed feeding gives the food different consistencies, which can stimulate the appetite. Wet food has a more intense flavor and its moisture content helps to regulate the animal's water balance. Dry food, on the other hand, can be given in small portions to avoid overloading the digestive system.

Kann dieses Futter eine erhöhte Schleim bildung im Ösophagus hervor rufen? (Hund mit Megaösophagus)

Guten Tag, eine vermehrte Schleimbildung ist keine typische oder zu erwartende Reaktion auf das Futter Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat. Allerdings kann es bei einem Megaösophagus durch die eingeschränkte Passage im Ösophagus zu einer sekundären Schleimansammlung kommen – unabhängig vom verwendeten Futtermittel.

In solchen Fällen ist es besonders wichtig, die Konsistenz des Futters individuell anzupassen, die Fütterung in aufrechter Position durchzuführen und die Reaktion des Hundes in enger Absprache mit dem behandelnden Tierarzt zu beobachten.
