Purina Pro Plan Canine FortiFlora Chews

The trusted FortiFlora is now also available as a tasty chew. FortiFlora® is a unique probiotic from PURINA® PRO PLAN® for dogs of all ages (> 8 weeks). It has been proven to support intestinal health and balance and helps promote strong natural defenses. It is available in easy-to-feed, chewable cubes. Each cube contains a guaranteed amount of probiotic, microencapsulated for increased stability and effectiveness. It is extremely palatable and very convenient to use. 

It is recommended for gastrointestinal disorders such as:

  • Diarrhea
  • Poor stool quality
  • To reduce flatulence

Soft stools associated with:

  • Stress (weaning, vaccination, change of owner)
  • with antibiotic therapy
  • with a change in diet

Canine FortiFlora Chews also support a healthy immune system and, thanks to their palatability, help stimulate appetite.

Canine FortiFlora Chews are easy to administer. The tasty chewable tablets can be mixed with food or given directly from your hand as a treat.

If your puppy’s or dog’s symptoms do not subside within a few days, consult a veterinarian. They will often advise you to feed FortiFlora for at least thirty days. This is the only way to ensure the gut flora stabilizes long-term.

Dosage:
1 chewable tablet per dog per day

Duration of treatment:

For gastrointestinal disorders 1 FortiFlora Chews® chewable tablet daily for at least 7 days after symptoms subside
For loose stools associated with stress 1 FortiFlora Chews® chewable tablet daily, starting 3 days before the stressful event, continuing throughout the stressful period, and for at least 3 days afterward
During antibiotic therapy 1 FortiFlora Chews® chewable tablet daily during antibiotic therapy and for up to 7 days after the last
dose of antibiotics. For maximum effectiveness, FortiFlora® should be administered at least 3 hours before or after the antibiotics
When changing diets 1 FortiFlora Chews® chewable tablet daily, starting 3 days before the transition phase begins and continuing until 7 days after the complete switch to the new diet
To support the immune system 1 FortiFlora Chews® chewable tablet daily for at least 30 days
To stimulate appetite 1 FortiFlora Chews® chewable tablet as a daily supplement to the regular food, for as long as necessary
