Vitana Slippery Elm Bark Special
American red elm bark (known as slippery elm bark) is a versatile natural product. Thanks to its particularly high content of dietary fiber and swelling agents, it ensures consistent and balanced nutrient absorption.
Natural Protection for the Stomach and Intestines When taken internally, elm bark is beneficial for digestion. The mucilage it contains forms a protective film over the mucous membranes lining the stomach and intestines, providing natural support.
But the bark doesn’t just work from the inside: when applied externally, it can effectively support the healing process as a natural wound ointment.
Simple preparation: syrup or paste Depending on your needs, elm bark powder can be prepared quickly and easily:

For a thick syrup: Add the powder to water and bring to a brief boil while stirring constantly.

For a gentle paste: Simply stir the powder into warm water and let it soak until it reaches the desired consistency.
Feeding Recommendations & Important Notes To ensure that red elm bark achieves its optimal effect, please follow these guidelines when using it:

Feeding time: Ideally, administer the prepared paste or syrup 30 minutes before the regular feeding time.

Interval from Medication: Since the mucilage in elm bark can delay the absorption of medications, be sure to wait approx. one hour after administering medication before giving the elm bark.
Once a day with the main meal. Allow to soak slightly if necessary.
<5 kg = 1 KL, 5–10 kg = 2 KL, 10–15 kg = 1.5 EL, 15–30 kg = 2 EL, 30–40 kg = 3 EL, >40 kg = 4 EL.

Bonjour, doit-on donner la poudre diluée avant le repas ou est-ce possible de la mettre directement sur la nourriture ?
L'écorce d'orme déploie au mieux son effet protecteur sur la muqueuse gastrique lorsqu'elle est mélangée à de l'eau pour former un gel. Il est recommandé d'administrer l'écorce d'orme Vitana spécial idéalement 30 à 60 minutes avant le repas.

Grundsätzlich wirken beide Zubereitungsarten. Das Aufkochen bricht jedoch die Struktur der Schleimstoffe optimal auf. Dadurch entsteht ein zähflüssiger Schleim, der eine hohe Haftung besitzt. Für Hunde mit Magenproblemen ist dies die effektivste Zubereitungsart. Der warm angerührte Brei verteilt sich sehr schnell und grossflächig. Diese Eigenschaft ist besonders nützlich, wenn der Schutz primär im Darm wirken soll. Unterschiede gibt es auch in der Haltbarkeit: der gekochte Sirup ist im Kühlschrank 2 -3 Tage haltbar, der Brei sollte innerhalb von wenigen Stunden verfüttert werden.
