ROYAL CANIN® RENAL SELECT dry food is a complete dietary food for cats to support kidney function in chronic Renal insufficiency and to reduce oxaline stone formation. High quality proteins. Limited phosphorus, calcium and vitamin D content. Urinary alkalizing properties.

Support of kidney function
This feed contains a low phosphorus content and a moderate proportion of high-quality proteins to support kidney function.
Adapted energy content
The adjusted energy content of the formula allows for smaller portion sizes per meal, which can compensate for a reduced appetite in some cats.
Stimulation of the appetite
This food features a specific flavor profile and a special dual texture to stimulate your cat's appetite - especially when food is refused. The kibble is easy to chew, has a soft center and a crunchy shell.
Important note
This product is a veterinary food from the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range. It is therefore important that the food is only fed on the recommendation of a vet. This will ensure that your pet receives exactly the food it really needs. A change in diet should be made carefully and gradually over a period of 7 to 10 days. Pay attention to the correct portion size - especially with mixed feeding.
Mixed feeding possible
To meet the individual preferences of all cats, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Select is also available as a wet food with fine pieces in sauce and with three different flavor profiles: chicken, beef and fish. It is also available with a mousse texture or as Renal and Renal Special dry food with kibble in various shapes, consistencies and flavor profiles.
* Mixed feeding gives the food different consistencies, which can stimulate the appetite. Wet food has a more intense aroma and its moisture content helps to regulate the animal's water balance. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to ingest and good for the teeth.

Seit der Tierarzt uns emfohlen hat, den Seniorinnen aus gesundheitlichen Gründen Renal Select zu verfüttern, fressen alle drei - auch der Jungspunt - nur noch dieses Trockenfutter. Die Täschchen sind luftig und können auch durch die fast zahnlose Miri gefressen werden. Früher haben wir ausschliesslich Purina ONE in grossen Mengen verfüttert. Von Renal Select benötigen die Katzen weit weniger Portionen und die Nierenwerte sind wieder im akzeptablen Bereich. Der höhere kg-Preis gegenüber ONE lohnt sich allemal und geht durch den Minderverbrauch vollumfänglich auf.

Très bon produit
Mes chats sont des super seniors (18,22 et 25 ans), et à cet âge là, la maladie rénale est inévitable. Souvent avec d'autres produits, ils se lassent vite et refusent de les manger (même sans la nausée qui est aussi typique de cette pathologie). Avec le Royal Canin, ce problème ne se produit pas, ils le consomment désormais depuis des années! Je le mélange avec de l'eau tiède et ajoute des légumes à la vapeur coulés pour contrer la constipation. À conseiller !
