ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O Small Dog is a balanced and nutritious formula specially formulated to help small dogs with urinary problems such as struvite crystals and stones.

Scope of Royal Canin Urinary S/O Small Dogs:

• Bacterial cystitis
• Dissolution of struvite stones
• Calcium oxalate prophylaxis
• Struvite stone prophylaxis

Not suitable for:

• Chronic Renal insufficiency
• Heart disease (with recommended sodium restriction)
• Use of uric acidifying substances
• Growth, pregnancy and lactation

The mode of action of ROYAL CANIN URINARY S/O Small Dogs:

Struvite stone dissolution
The composition supports the dissolution of struvite crystals/stones.

Low RSS value
An undersaturated urinary environment can counteract the spontaneous crystallization of struvite and calcium oxalate.

Urine dilution
Increasing the volume of urine can counteract the formation of struvite and calcium oxalates.

Reduction of tartar formation
This formula contains a nutrient that binds the calcium in saliva, which can help to reduce the formation of dental plaque.

S/O Index
This food also creates a urinary environment that makes the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate stones more difficult.

Duration of treatment
5 to 12 weeks or until the urinary crystals/stones have dissolved. In the case of urinary tract infections, the diet should be administered for at least one month after the first negative urinalysis.

Important note
This product is a veterinary diet from the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range. It is therefore important that the food is only fed on the recommendation of a veterinary surgeon. This will ensure that your pet receives exactly the food it really needs.

A change of diet should be made carefully and gradually over a period of 7-10 days. Pay attention to the correct portion size - especially with mixed feeding.

Mixed feeding possible
To meet the individual preferences of all dogs, ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O Small Dog can be combined with ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O wet food with fine pieces in sauce or mousse. Mixed feeding gives the food different consistencies, which can stimulate the appetite. Wet food has a more intense aroma and its moisture content helps to regulate the animal's water balance. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to absorb and good for the teeth.
